'Kuttisranku' director Shaji N. Karun, featuring Mammootty as a marine sailor who operates goods boat (charakku kapal) between Kondugnaloor and Kollam, through the backwaters of Kerala.
Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainments is producing the film in association with Shaji N. Karun. The locations chosen for Kuttishranku are Kaavaalam, Kumarakom and Vaikkom, in the backwaters of central Travancore.
Padmapriya, Kamalini Mukherji and Meena Kumari are three heroines in Kuttysrank. It is Kamalini Mukherji’s first Malayalam movie.
